Dr. fano is a biochemist from the University of Buenos Aires and has taught in multiple settings, including the seminar: “Implementation of a quality management system for tissue banks and radiation sterilization of tissues for grafts,” organized by the Peruvian Institute of Nuclear energy in Lima, Perú; the master alliance in Barcelona; the 5th course on control and management of quality in the activities of collection, evaluation, processing, storage, distribution, and application of human tissues in la coruña; and the postgraduate course on procurement and transplantation at ISALUD in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Dr. Astrid Malagón has over 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, implementing Good Practices for process validation and Quality Management Systems. Her experience also includes over 9 years of coordination, implementation, certification, and Quality Management of Good Practices for Tissue Banks: ocular, skin, amniotic membrane, acellular dermis, and musculoskeletal. In addition to her role as Technical Director of the District Tissue Bank, she is a leader in Research, Development, and Innovation projects in the area of regenerative medicine and tissue therapies.
Dr. Malagón is a Bacteriologist from the Colegio Mayor de Cundinamarca University, with postgraduate studies in Quality Management from Santo Tomás University (Colombia) and a Master of Science in Microbiology from the National University of Colombia. This has enabled her to: i) Lead the District Tissue Bank to become a reference for training and development of professionals in Latin America on the implementation of Tissue Banks and best practices. ii) Implement certifications in Good Practices for Ocular Tissue Banks, skin, amniotic membrane, acellular, and musculoskeletal dermis. iii) Provide international consultancy on Good Practice guidelines for Tissue Banks, among many more.

Dr. Ocharan has extensive experience in various fields, including the National Geological Map, UAM, Petroperú, United Nations, and others. Over the course of three decades, she has worked at MyAP as a Consultant in applied mineralogy for industry, petroleum, mining, forensics, archaeology, environment, medicine, biology, and more. Additionally, she has been a collaborator in the specialty of scanning electron microscopy and microanalysis in numerous research projects and theses at Peruvian and foreign universities.
Dr. Ocharán has been a keynote speaker at conferences in Peru, Spain, Poland, England, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, France, Turkey,Ecuador, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Cuba, among others.
Mónica Freire, B.S., has over 15 years of experience in blood banks and currently serves as the Manager of Document Management at ICCBBA (International Council for Commonality in Blood Banking Automation). Since joining ICCBBA in 2016, Mónica has also supported several technical advisory groups aimed at maintaining and advancing the ISBT 128 Standard to enhance the traceability and biovigilance of human-derived medical products internationally.
