Board-certified physician and Doctor of Science from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Dr. Martinez is a medical researcher at the Mexican Ministry of Health and has been teaching undergraduate and graduate courses at the UNAM School of Medicine since 1998.
His scientific experience in the field of cell biology and molecular therapy applied to transplant processes, cryobiology, and tissue recovery has qualified him to be the founder of the first Skin and Tissue Bank of the Ministry of Health in Mexico, with ISO9000 certification of its kind. Dr. Martinez has held visiting professorships and given lectures at universities worldwide, including the Free University of the Netherlands, the University of Birmingham in Alabama, the University of Oviedo and the University of Barcelona in Spain, and Kyushu University in Japan.
Founder and former director of ‘Fundación del Quemado’. Dr. Linda has promoted initiatives aimed at providing access to high-quality treatments, regardless of people's economic conditions, making Fundación del Quemado a reference center for health inclusion in Colombia. Under her leadership, the foundation established Colombia's first Skin Bank in 1998 (the third in Latin America). This pioneering effort paved the way for the creation of the country's first public tissue bank, which Dr. Linda has advised since 2009.
Dr. Linda Guerrero has served as the director of the burn unit at Simón Bolívar Hospital in Bogotá, the largest of its kind in Colombia. Her contributions have been recognized with numerous national and international awards, including The León Hernández Award from the Colombian Society of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery; and recognition from the Ibero-American Federation of Burns for her distinguished career and contributions to plastic surgery, among others.

Burn Surgeon at the Dr. Thelma Rosario Children's Burn Center in Santiago de los Caballeros, a position she has held since the center's foundation. She served as the center's director from 2009 to 2023. Full member of the Dominican Academy of Medicine and the National Research Career. Secretary of the North Branch of the Dominican College of Surgeons from 2022 to 2024. She is also the Latin American representative on the Executive Committee of the International Society of Burn Injury and a member of the Prevention and Disaster Committee of the Ibero-Latin American Federation of Burns.
Dr. Quintana received her medical degree from the School of Medicine at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM). She completed her general surgery residency at the Hospital Dr. Luis E. Aybar and a fellowship in burn surgery at the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital and Chang Gung University. She also holds a Master's degree in Education Sciences from Universidad Tecnológica de Santiago (UTESA) and is a professor at UTESA's School of Medicine. She is also a professor at the School of Medicine and a research professor at PUCMM.
