The District Institute of Science, Biotechnology and Innovation in Health (IDCBIS), is a non-profit corporation of mixed character, in favor of individual and collective health, with legal status under private law, with administrative and financial autonomy and its own assets, linked to the District Health Secretariat.<\/span><\/h1>\n

The IDCBIS arises from the initiative to strengthen the work of more than 15 years, of a team that with the support of the district administration, the honorable Council of Bogota and under the guidelines of its scientific direction, turned the so-called Bank of Blood, Tissues and Cells-District Hemocenter today IDCBIS, into a scientific technical reference in the areas of its competence in the city, country and region, for the consolidation of structures oriented to the development and promotion of science, technology, innovation and research in health.<\/span><\/h1>\n

\nEl Dr. Gustavo Salguero es m\u00e9dico de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia (Nov 2001). Tras culminar sus estudios, el Dr. Salguero inici\u00f3 sus estudios doctorales en la Escuela de Medicina de Hannover (Medizinische Hoschschule Hannover, MHH), Alemania (2003- 2007) en el Laboratorio de Cardiolog\u00eda Molecular (Prof. Bernard Schieffer) del Departamento de Cardiolog\u00eda y Angiolog\u00eda de la MHH. <\/span><\/p>\n

Posteriormente se vincul\u00f3 como Fellow Postdoctoral (2008-2014) en el laboratorio de Inmunoterapias Regenerativas Aplicadas (Prof. Renata Stripecke) del Departamento de Hematolog\u00eda, Oncolog\u00eda y Trasplante Hematopoy\u00e9tico de la MHH, en Hannover. <\/span><\/p>\n

Desde 2015 a 2017 se desempe\u00f1\u00f3 como director de la Unidad de Terapia Celular del Hemocentro de la Secretar\u00eda Distrital de Salud y desde 2017 es L\u00edder de Investigaci\u00f3n de Terapias Avanzadas del Instituto Distrital de Ciencia, Biotecnolog\u00eda e Innovaci\u00f3n en Salud – IDCBIS-. El Dr. Salguero completa m\u00e1s de 15 a\u00f1os de experiencia postdoctoral en el campo de la investigaci\u00f3n y desarrollo de tecnolog\u00edas de terapia avanzada para su potencial aplicaci\u00f3n en inmunoterapia en c\u00e1ncer, inmunodeficiencias, enfermedades autoinmunes, entre otros.<\/span><\/p>\n
