The IX Congress of the Latin American Association of Tissue Banks is aimed at the Latin American tissue bank community interested in sharing knowledge and fostering dialogue regarding the current tissue donation landscape in the region. It also welcomes medical and academic leaders, as well as students eager to learn, discuss, and contribute to the experiences of various tissue banks around the globe.
The congress will foster an interdisciplinary environment where topics such as tissue banking economics, regulatory frameworks, donor selection, procurement and processing practices will be addressed. This aims to strengthen cooperation and knowledge exchange in the region.

To introduce different financial models for tissue banks in Latin America, and explore refinancing strategies, budget creation, and cost calculation from donation to tissue distribution.
To foster a dialogue platform for sharing best practices in quality assurance and control, procurement and processing, and biovigilance of tissues in the region. This platform will focus on eye banks, skin banks, heart valves, osteotendinous tissue, and novel cell and tissue technologies.
To identify regional cooperation opportunities for knowledge exchange and best practices in tissue banking. Fostering collaboration among ALABAT members, research and development centers, academia, healthcare institutions, and regulatory authorities.
